How to Remove a Device Supervision from iPhone?

If your iPhone is supervised, there are several ways to remove supervision from it. However, the method which will work for your particular iPhone depends on the way how it was enrolled into the MDM Program which allows to supervise it and on the software which was used for this purpose.

By default, Apple allows users to remove MDM profiles from their iPhones if it was enrolled manually via Apple Configurator. MDM or configuration profile is a component of MDM software deployed on a device and allowing supervision over it. However, if a company uses other MDM software, in most cases MDM profile and supervision can’t be removed from an iPhone just by deleting a configuration profile from settings.

You can’t remove supervision from the iPhone this way if it was enrolled into an MDM program remotely using third-party MDM software. In this case, you can turn to the company which installed MDM software on your iPhone and supervises it with a request to remove MDM profile from your iPhone which will also remove supervision over your device.
