From then onward, a number of iOS devices involved in daily activities of businesses, schools, hospitals and other types of organizations became huge. This is the reason why iOS supervision became an essential part of corporate data security and unauthorized use prevention.
So, what is iOS supervision? iOS supervision is the tool allowing companies and their IT departments to manage, configure, track, monitor iOS devices, as well as to impose certain restrictions on them to ensure corporate data security and compliance with internal policies and regulations. In other words, supervision gives organizations remote control over iOS devices they own and manage.
This way, iOS supervision allows IT administrators to remotely control iOS devices enrolled into corporate MDM program, or Mobile Device Management Program. They can remotely set new accounts, restrict access to certain apps and features, like turning off AirDrop or disabling the App Store.
Organizations also can remotely configure devices to meet corporate needs. Restrictions imposed on iOS devices vary from company to company.
